So, the Reverse Bang is finally over [waves flag] and now I get to sit back and enjoy as everyone else now gets to post. 8DDDDD BWHAHAHA...freeeeeeedom!
I think I'll be happy going back to my anime-ish style because semi-realism takes a long while...but I now desperately want to draw werewolf Steve and Tony...[puts them together]. It would be a nice Halloween piece. Oooor Vampire!Tony and Werewolf!Steve. When's the next Reverse Bang? I quite like drawing something and having someone write the story (*_*) Penpen it was fun working with yooooooou! I wish you luck on NaNo [sniffs and blows nose]. I suspect the next Bang will be sometime next year...I wonder if the comm will have any other events [tilts head in thought]. A Secret Santa would be nice to do...maybe I can ask one of the mods.
So okay, moving forward or backtracking as the case may be. I haven't really discussed recent Marvel comics or other neat stuff because the bang ate me...but now I can!
Let's see, first up Chaos War #2. Remember how I was pumped because all the Marvel heroes showed up...Yeah well now they are all down save for god-like people. Lol, I feel jipped, but that's okay cause oddly enough I still find the comic entertaining. The real star of the series is Hercules...which I still have no actual knowledge about. Still I think the comic is still very new reader friendly...plus Thor is there being awesome. Ooooh and it answered some questions on how the multi-god thing worked in the MU. I wondered how Hades (Greek) could exist if Hela (Norse) was there...but apparently there are different realms belonging to different gods so...I supppose when you die in Marvel you end up with the one you are most associated to. Also, here is a rant....WHY is Hades ALWAYS portrayed as evil-ish? That's not really how Greek mythos went....ah Hollywood.
Still enjoying Invincible Iron Man with #31. Pretty much the same stuff that has been going on last issue really...still entertaining. Hammer trying to blow Tony up and yadda...still wondering who the spy is. Ironman Titanium was fun for me too...different short stories for the whole issue...and the art of the first story was great for me. Strangely manga-esque story feel for almost the whole thing...which isn't bad in my book.
Steve Rogers: Super Soldier #4 was okay...as I said...got it for the art not so much for the story...Brubaker...I still am not interested in your work. The ending reminded me of the Batman Beyond storyline for the main character...actually almost an exact rip off. Essentially the whole point is that baddies are going to try to create a working Supersoldier...and since the SSS "only worked on Steve Rogers" they are going to groom more Steve Rogers... making their subjects live their life similar to Steve. Once again, no particular interest....
I wasn't able to get a hold of Carnage #1 they sold out D8 so I'll have to wait for it. My Tony/Peter fan is denied. But it actually brings up an interesting question....does Tony know Peter's identity now? I mean the story is that Tony invited Peter Parker to a science thingy...so...thanks to OMIT we know Peter remembers Civil War...Tony has amnesia....I have no clue...oh well...
Other news. Ironman 3 is in planning stages and slated for release in May 3, 2013
HERE. I suppose we are finally seeing what the merger with Disney is finally doing. Also last week premiered Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes on Disney XD which was great. I liked the series a lot and am looking forward to the new episode they are showing this week. Sadly, I missed the premier of Super Hero Squad Season 2 on Cartoon Network....seriously 6:30 AM? I am NOT getting up that early...I'm sure it'll show itself online sometimes.
I think that's it for Marvel. On the book front...I am looking forward to reading Rick Riordan's sequel to his Percy Jackson series....The Lost Hero....though I should finish The Red Pyramid. I also have to catch up on Ranger's Apprentice (John Flanagan) and finish the Nightrunne (Lynn Flewelling) series.
