So if you read April's Marvel solicits, you will find a some pretty interesting things to look forward to with all the FEAR stuff launching - and of course...this.  It's so messed up...I am thiiiiiiiiiiis close to dropping Bendis' Avengers entirely.  >_<  I mean WTF Bendis - wtf?!  Pleeeease let it be mind control, pleeeease let it be mind control...or make the summary way off.  [sighs]  You know what Tony - I say go evil...with the way Marvel treats you, I'd go evil too.  You'd be a far more interesting gray villain then the ALWAYS completely bashed hero that for some !@#$ing reason Marvel loves to depict you as.

I used to love Bendis - especially when he was writing Ultimate Spider-man, but this is just plain stupid.  The dialougue makes me cringe, the character portrayal is mixed and inconsistent and GYAAAAAAAAAAH! [fires crossbow at him] BE CREATIVE AND STOP MAKING TONY THE BAD GUY! /rant

[deep breaths]  Okay...I'm good...

Well, with that vent out of the way...I just don't know where Bendis is going with this.  I don't get it - I mean he already set up the fall of Tony with the Ultron war...he apparently is going to punish Tony for the Infinity gems [headesk headesk headesk] so...where is this going?  If one was being realistic - IF Tony did in fact betray the team - then he naturally gets kicked off.  Is that the point he's trying to make?  Tony is evil?  God, it's Wanda all over again...  You know Bendis...it doesn't jive with what's going on in the other comics, right?  Fraction, I swear it's up to you to save Tony again.
