Good Things
Yay! Finally some good stuff. I got a job at World Market today! I have to get my liquor license this week and then I start work next week. Probably still can't make it down to LR for Howie's birthday, but we'll see. So yay!
My living with my mom has recently begun to feel more long term so I'm working on getting my dad's game room cleaned out, painted, and the door fixed so I can turn it into my room yet again. I would keep the attic but I don't want to ever ask anyone to haul my dresser up those attic stairs. She seems much more willing to coordinate efforts to make the house liveable for me too than she has before. It makes me happy and hopeful that maybe I can live here without driving her or myself crazy. Only problem is whether or not my distinct and driving desire to get a pet will go away or not. I'm going to be looking into starting to volunteer at Wayside Waifs (local animal shelter) soon so who knows, maybe that'll quench that need for new animal contact..or maybe I'll find a cat or dog that Rin and Geta can live with. = ) Who knows but for the first time in weeks I'm hopeful for the short term future and that helps with the being hopeful for the long term future.
