12 Days of Veronica Fic Challenge
Due to a serious drought of fic inspiration recently, I've decided to create a holiday challenge for myself. It's built around the concept of "The Twelve Days of Christmas," and features everyone's favorite snarky teenage P.I., Veronica Mars. One of my favorite things to do is to come up with absurd pairings for our Miss V, as she is so delightfully pair-able. Poor monimala has gotten sucked into the insanity nearly every time I've said, "Hey, wouldn't it be cool if Veronica met..."
So here's the challenge:
1. Provide me with one het pairing involving Veronica. Crossovers are more than welcome, but feel free to choose characters from Veronica Mars...with a few caveats. I will not write Logan/Veronica. Period. End of story. So don't ask. I also don't feel capable of writing slash, incest is a big no, and, well, Veronica/Wallace is just wrong. So...Weevil, Lamb, Piz, Casey, and Vinnie are fair game.
2. Provide a "number of something" prompt along with your pairing, in keeping with the "Twelve Days" theme. It doesn't have to be related to the original song; the wackier and more fun the better. Please see what numbers have been claimed so far before adding yours to the list. Obviously, please only use numbers 1 through 12.
Here are some of the shows you can choose crossovers from: Heroes, Bones, Gossip Girl, Private Practice, Grey's Anatomy, Supernatural, Friday Night Lights, Everwood, Alias, Gilmore Girls. Firefly is fair game, but if you go that direction, any suggestions of how to get V to the proper time period (or vice versa) would be welcome. There are other shows/movies I love, and if you know it's something I'm into, that's great too.
The ultimate goal is to write a dozen fics, and post them one a day, starting Christmas Day and ending on Twelfth Night. We'll see how well it goes. :)
