Requiem for Everwood

Jun 05, 2006 18:43

Well, tonight is the end. After nearly four years, the Everwood journey is coming to a close. I've loved this show since the beginning. Sometimes it made me angry, and countless times it made me cry, but I have always, always adored it. Amy made me want to throw things at the TV, Bright made me swoon, and Ephram had me swinging between utter adoration and abject frustration. They have had realistic storylines, coherent character development, and some of the best acting on the TV. There is no "weak link" in the cast. Amy VanCamp is transcendant, Chris Pratt a revelation, Tom Amandes a frigging genius. Gregory Smith and Treat Williams are no slouches either. It pains me that after tonight, I won't get the share part of my week with the Browns and Abbotts. It pisses me off beyond measure that only S1 is on DVD. This is a show to be cherished, treasured.

It's been a hell of a trip...thanks for the ride, Everwood.

And, for old time's sake...damn you, Berlanti!
