A/N: I wasn't supposed to be writing this, but Jake Abel (the actor who plays Adam) tweeted that he used to wear all his clothes backwards as a little kid, and the imagery was so adorable (especially since he's unnaturally cute for a twenty three year old man, anyway) that I couldn't resist. Like always. *sigh*
Title: A Backwards Upbringing
Author:
ladyknightankaDisclaimer: I don't own Supernatural. If I did, I'd at least be kind enough to stick poor Adam back in Heaven, if nothing else. Underlined things and pop-culture references aren't mine. Please don't replicate my silly work without permission.
Rating: K+
Warnings: Unadulterated fluff, an incredibly rambunctious child, some language, Sam feeling exasperated, very vague mentions of Hell and spoilers for S6.
Characters/Pairings: Sam/kid!Adam gen bonding, with a side of Dean and Uncle Bobby.
Other Notes: ~1k. The standalone first part of the Three Hunters, Two Angels and Adam 'verse.
Summary: Adam is raised from Hell as a precocious five year old who has no memory of the torment. The Winchesters love having him around, they honestly do, but he's a tiny, manipulative roller-coaster with way too many ups and downs, including the mile-wide independent streak Hell never quite managed to beat out of him.

Sam didn't wake up that morning. He startled. )
