I did this for mrsarcastic_tim, but for those of you unfamiliar with the community, I thought I'd post it in my own journal too. School is crazy, so I'm being lazy, and doing this...watchamacallit...instead of real fanfic. Without further ado...
11 TIMMY CHALLENGE THINGIES
The AU Challenge
When thirty-two-year-old Tim Drake looks up at the Batman-related newscast on his office TV set, he sets his "#1 Dad" mug down on his unfinished tax returns and briefly ponders what would have been different had he gathered his courage and taken his twelfth birthday present--a pristine Nikon with a telephoto lens--out in search of that critical snapshot to prove that the Batman was truly Bruce Wayne.
The Cross-over Challenge
Tim's mind reels as he ponders the astounding truth: Sam Winchester has been on the road non-stop for the past three years fighting ghosts and demons and every other horror imaginable, yet he has never once given up on law school; if there is hope for one lowly demon-hunder, surely there is a light at the end of the tunnel for Robin too.
The Gender-bending Challenge
When the unfortunate members of Young Justice all wake up with total sex changes, it is--as usual--up to their leader to present a calm front, as he prays that the other members never learn how his face turns the color of his own tunic as he takes Cissy aside and timidly asks her if she please has any extra pads or tampons.
The Tim-as-Another-Hero Challenge
It feels wrong that he's the only one here to accept it, but the green-clad man is dying and the only way to beat this crisis is to bring in some serious firepower...so with a heavy heart Tim accepts the Lantern ring and exerts his will.
The Rare Pairing Challenge
Kon told him that she was the best masseuse on the team, so naturally, Tim asked for a demonstration; Looking back, he realized that when Kon said "You'll fall in love with Anita the moment she puts her hands on you," he should have believed him.
The Holiday Challenge
Tim knows that with all the changes in his life, he has enough money now to buy a hundred costumes if he so chose, but for some niggling reason, the wild temptation to go trick-or-treating as Robin still remains.
The Disabilities/Illness Challenge
Usually, being zapped by an unidentified ray has more serious consequences, so, when Bruce tells him that his sense of smell has been permanently destroyed, Tim puts on a relieved and accepting face...and then goes to his room, locks the door, and pulls a worn stuffed crocodile which always smelled like his mother's perfume to his face, using it to absorb the tears.
The Normal Day (in the Future) Challenge
As Tim teaches Chris Kent to control his strength and monitor his movements to become a better Superboy, he turns to wistfully look at the childhood snapshot decorating the training area, hoping that somewhere, Kon is looking on with pride.
The Childhood Challenge
On the first day that Tim came home with a scraped knee, it was the same day that Mrs. Mac had decided to trust him to be alone in the house and not get into any trouble, so he walked over to the first aid kit, applied medicine and a band-aid, and tried desperately to be brave and tell himself everything he felt his Mommy and Daddy would have told him had they been there.
The Normal Friend Challenge
Tim is nervous seeing Bernard again, after so many years of zero communication; after all, as seniors, they both must have changed entirely, so who can be more shocked than him when Bernard comes strolling to their meeting spot with a tennis racket in hand, telling him that although he stinks at the game, he can't resist the desire to improve.
The Other Idea Challenge
The day that Dick asks Tim for love advice, Tim has to pause for a moment and realize that his brother is being entirely serious...then he laughs anyway.
