Dun dun dun dduuuunn... art dump! Whoot!

Finally art dump time again, ladies and germs!

It's kind of a mish-mash here of a lot of sketches that are only roughly colored, not colored, and rough-and-not-colored.

Note that I recently read this fabulous book called "Wither" by Lauren DeStefano (Part I of the Chemical Garden Trilogy), and have included illustrations for it.

Mini review: YA novel about a girl kidnapped to become one of three brides in a polygamous marriage to a young rich dude in a dystopian future where all men die at age 24 and all women at age 20. I think the thing that intrigued me most that I loved seeing explored here was the idea of all the characters being so short-lived. In a sea of YA novels dealing with vampires and fey and characters that live forever, it's fascinating to see a story about characters who exist on a ticking time-bomb of five years or less. I really liked how the main character is so focused on escape because she treasures her time left and knows exactly how she wants to spend it, which of course, is not in captivity. I am definitely in for the next book when it comes out.

So, to see stuff featuring comic dudes, book people, and micellany...

So I decided to start off with some Titans...

I am planning to color this one, actually. I'm just really taking my time about it, and have a lot of things I plan to clean up about the sketch first.

Tim is a snarker...

... and a stalker.

Done for a meme that may or may not get finished. Kon and Cass as teacher/student.

This is actually from an original/historical thing I'm working on. The details are over at my new community xenophonproject

Katniss & Peeta from The Hunger Games...

And finally... "Wither" sketches!

I should note that the final sketch is a [SPOILER] for a scene from Wither. It's my favorite quote from the book.

Basically when the main character, Rhine, is asking Gabriel the servant to run away with her:

(And yes, that's my half-assed attempt at a hazmat suit.)
