I think I need to make a list for myself of what I've been watching and reading. I've read more books this last year than I have in forever (i.e. since high school) and I've finally been watching some fun movies, and finally have some movies that I'm really looking forward to seeing. It's amazing to me how little time I've had in the last 3 years ( Read more... )

Ahhhhh! They're making a movie of Tomorrow: When the War Began, really?! I hadn't heard about that, I love those books! I've got the entire series! Which I really need to read again, now that I think about it.

Speaking of reading, have you ever read the Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World comics? They're pretty awsome. So much fun to read, and such a fun world, so full of video game references. ^_^ Prince of Persia is also a pretty dang good movie. I don't know anything about the games, but the movie is a lot of fun to watch and makes really good use of the whole time-traveling dagger thing.

Not so sure about The Last Airbender myself. I dunno, something about the atmosphere of the trailer just squicks me. I still plan on seeing it, but I'm not getting my hopes up...but Inception does look freakin' awsome. And more than that, I really want to see "Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'hule," because the animation on that looks fantastic and I loves me some animation. :3 ( ... )

I've never read the book, but THIS has me looking forward to it.

I've never read 'em 'cause I couldn't get into the art work. It reminded me so much of late 90's cartoon network stuff that I was put off. I might try reading through a volume before seeing the movie, but I'm not sure.

Oh, I forgot about the animated movies! I do wanna see The Owls of Ga'hule, and I also wanna see Tangled, the upcoming Rappunzel movie.

I saw Prince of Persia on Friday. I've put off reviewing it because I still am not completely sure what I want to convey. On one hand, yes, it was good. On the other, it was a bit of POTC meets Aladdin and not necessarily in a good way, all the time.

2. No comment.

3. They're making a movie about this book? I guess it's time for me to read the book, now...

4. I agree. I saw the trailer for this and at the same moment my friend and I turned to each other and said "we have to see it!" It's (probably) not the best movie in the world, but it looks quite fun.

5. Never really watched the show, been debating about this movie. I think it's one of those I'm going to downloadrent. It'd be different if I cared about the show, but since I don't...

6. Hmm, musing over this myself. It looks downright weird which can be both awesome and bad. I don't think it's going to be one I see in theaters, though ( ... )

POTC-meets-Aladdin is very much what I'm expecting from Prince of Persia, so I'm looking forward to it.

I've never read Scott Pilgrim or Tomorrow, but I'm thinking of picking them up before the films are out.

If the thing that grates you is James Patterson's style, but you're still curious about the story, I'd like to recommend the manga adaptations illustrated by Narae Lee. They do a reallly good job of conveying the first book, but don't force you to deal with Patterson's prose.

OOOOOOOHHH! Another Percy Jackson fan! That makes me feel all excited. ^_^ I think I'm a lot more excited by the new book series than by the possibility of another movie. I really enjoy Riordan's ability to surprise me. PARTY PONIES 4EVAR!

I didn't know How to Train Your Dragon was a book when I saw it, but I can confirm that the movie is absolutely adorable.
