Cassie knew, ultimately, what she had to do: She had to keep all three men away from little Cessily (who refused to be called "Cissy" no matter what her mother insisted) and get them off her island. How to do that was another problem entirely. And then there was the terrifying idea of talking to each one...
Kon-El. Her first love. She was glad he was back from the dead, but they had both changed so much, she didn't know where to begin rebuilding a friendship. She pondered the peak she'd gotten of him. He'd grown the goatee out again. It was even sexier at forty than at seventeen.
Tim Drake-Wayne. Her ex-husband. Her brilliant, compassionate, freaky-brained, philosophical, chronically depressed, obsessive ex-husband. For all his detective skills, there were still so many things Cassie had managed to keep from him. He had been casually twirling his old bo staff in his hands as she watched him. He never missed a spin with it. Graceful and precise as ever.
Ray Terril. Her embarrassing one-night stand. She had scoffed at Cissy, back when they were electing leaders for Young Justice, disgusted at how easily her best friend allowed the guy's lighting-white smile to dazzle her.. How ironic that a little gin and tonic at that same best friend's party years later allowed that same smile to affect her. That same smile that he still had, even now.
Now, she just needed to get them separated and away from her home... preferably before they found out than any one of them could be Cessily's father. And before she fell back in love with one or all of them.
