Comic Reviews and SPOILER ALERTS!!!!

Such a wonderful pile of comics I managed to snatch today.

Tiny Titans: Adorable. Widdle Cassie w/her butterfly project!

Teen Titans: I used to be rather amused by the one-sided crush dynamic with Rose and Eddie, but now that time-slot seems to have been replaced with Eddie and Jamie banter. it's a hundred times better. Bombshell got half-way interesting almost, and they had a few pages of guest penciler who did beautiful work, especially with Wonder Girl. And of course, I of all people am going to notice how Tim hovers over her in concern. It was probably his idea to go the JSA in the first place for first-rate medical treatment.

Titans: The downside: Raven being not-Raven. The upside: Raven being not-Raven was supposed to feel off and was, apparently, a plot-point all along. The downside: Dick and Kory are now certifiably un-hooked up. The upside: Kory is finally standing up for herself and now allowing Dick to unthinkingly trample over her heart all over again. The upside: Gar and Raven talking; hooray OTP! The downside: Once again, they have completely managed to avoid talking about their relationship. The upside: Yay for beautiful art! The downside: It can't possibly last.

I think I'm seeing a pattern in my relationship with this title...

Robin: It didn't feel like too much happened to me, at least that I fully understood. On the other hand, I love snippets of Ives and Zoanne. I like seeing Steph being treacherous and doing things that will make Tim even madder at her. Also, seeing more of Officer Harper never hurts. I like watching Tim wonder how much is too much and the interaction with Dick was cool.

Legion of Super-heroes: I wasn't happy about the Jo/Imra affair, but I think they've handled it pretty well. Both of them feel guilty and tell Gar as soon as they can. And Gar (looking excruciatingly hot in Manupaul's pencils) puts aside personal feelings to keep the team running. And Brainy is amusingly surprising in his level of evil. I like it.

Broken Trinity: Loooooove! ♥ Jackie and Sarah continue to have an interesting and underplayed thing between them with Hope uniting them. I love Jackie's blood-soaked entrance and the art...! *drools* Though I think Sejic may have had to use photo and brush overlay to get Hope's face right. The man is ridiculously talented, but children are not his strong suit. if I'm wrong, then major kudos to him in improving his craft so quickly.
