So... Spoiler's back. Cassie doesn't know what to feel. Her first half-pragmatic thought is to put herself in Tim's shoes. But really? Wishing, praying, and dying for Kon to come back to her isn't the same thing as actually imagining what it would be like if he were back. She's surprised to find that she can't do it. So she just watches as Tim tears at his hair and whirls around the room. Tim doesn't know what to feel either.
At least she knows what to do. Taking him by the shoulders, she guides him to the bed and gently urges him to lay down.
"Rest," she tells him. "Don't worry about a thing..."
He will, of course. He'll worry. But at least he'll rest. At the moment, that's all she needs to know he'll do.
Part of her wonders what she's supposed to feel, if anything.
She knows she doesn't feel hope.
She doesn't know why jealousy comes to mind; her "breakup" with Tim was some time coming. But it's irrelevant. She can't be jealous when Tim's so... not happy about this return.
But the other kind of jealousy? That Tim got someone back and she didn't?
She...
Nope. Not there.
He's falling apart. Again.
And just like that, Cassie knows she feels something--longing.
She wishes she knew how to put him back together.
