It’s not that Tim has feelings for Cassie of that nature. In fact, he doesn’t. It’s just that he doesn’t have much say in the matter.
Tim has never been attracted to her outside of a vague and casual appreciation of her beauty and intellect… but Mr. Sarcastic thinks she’s hot as hell. He likes it rough and knows she can deliver. And being Mr. Sarcastic, he wants more. He’s even got a whip he’d like her to try if she’s up for it…
Tim has never studied Cassie beyond the thorough analysis he’s given all this teammates… but Caroline was an artist before she began the route to med school, and she has a deep appreciation of Wonder Girl’s Amazon musculature. Her fingers itch to draw those arms and consider the fine bone of that strong jaw.
Tim has never considered himself to be the sort of person that has a type… but Alvin cannot resist a pretty blonde to save his life. The fact that Cassie never wastes time on stupid questions or petty indecision goes a long way in Draper’s book too.
Tim’s not dating Cassie due to any outside pressure. It’s all coming from the inside. Caroline is just using his eyes to make those admiring glances. Alvin is the one borrowing his mouth to talk. Mr. Sarcastic is the one reaching out a hand to touch…
If Kon ever comes back (as he probably will), and confronts Tim about The-Thing-With-Cassie (as he hopefully won’t?), Tim knows that he can always blame the voices in his head. Kon should know by now that it’s a perfectly reasonable argument as far as Robin’s concerned.
It’s something they will both have to put up with. Because his eyes won’t stop roaming. His mouth won’t stop kissing. His hands see no reason to stop dancing on her skin.
It is not his fault.. Not really.
So he tells himself.
