A Random Dating Tip
Date people who impress you. As in, who live a life that inspires you. Don't date based on potential. "Oh, he has so many talents! So much potential!" Most people have potential. Few people do anything about it. Date based on what a person is actually doing with their life, not what they talk about doing, or what they promise they will do, or what they "could" do -- because guess what? They're not!
Aim a little higher than that. :)
