Wow.
fucking wow.
I am in love with life right now.
Everything is amazingly wonderful.
1) My room is fantastic. absolutely fanfuckingtastic. There is a capt sparrow cutout, edward scissorhands poster, that photo of the consturction workers back in the day in nyc (i think) eating lunch on a skyscraper, frog cork board, asian-inspired cork board, awesome rug, a smattering of nostalgia-inspiring pictures, cute futon covered in cute pillows, and much more (incl yummy food) all smushed together in a homey look that would be cluttered if it wasnt so well put together and, well, homey.
2) My roomie is even better. She watches out for me, even letting me borrow her mace when she went home early last night, leaving me with the guys while she went back up to our dorm/hung out with her boy and a couple other people. She has so many friends and has just assumed that she's going to help me meet everyone (which is fantastic). She is easy-going, has a sense of humour, smart, and fun. We get along so well already and for that I cant thank whatever higher power there is out there enough.
3) I have friends. Between the awesome people in my dorm (most of whom leave their doors open or at least want you to come in and harass them whenever), kate's awesome friends, a couple people I knew from LHS, and the awesome Adventure people I met a few weeks ago, I have friends. They're all so cool and I dont feel like an outcast- people stop by to see me and I've laughed so much and had so many great conversations. Passing out cupcakes to random people with Kate yesterday really helped and it was so much fun.
4) Freedom. I can do what I want, when I want. Enough said.
5) I have a lava lamp on my desk. The lava looks like a penis right now.
6) My classes are going to rock. My textbooks are primarily "How to act/be natural onstage" type things written not as textbooks as much as handbooks. And entertaining ones at that.
7) School spirit. It's fantastic and in abundance here.
8) Morgantown. Simply, it rocks. Everything is right down the hill from me and I can eat ice cream while getting exercise going back up the mountain to my dorm. wheee. (I actually like that fact. Morgantown is influencing me.)
9) I have everything that I need. I am self-sufficient, finally. It is refreshing, empowering, relaxing, energizing.
10) I'm going to a pirate party tonight.
and did I mention FREEDOM?!
PS- start sending me pictures of all of us. I want to put them all over by my desk because I do miss you people. No matter what, you guys are some of the best friends I'll ever have. I love you all and no one can ever replace you. No one. It makes me smile everytime I look at a picture from the past few years. Thank you for being the amazing friends you have been and helping me to be who I am today. Thank you for supporting me. Thank you for encouraging me and being there when I wanted to laugh, smile, or just needed a shoulder to cry on. You are the best friends in the world and I'm so happy I met you.
