Woo-hoo!
Yay, Nate passed his exam! The computer automatically tells you whether you passed or failed, so we know that he passed, but we'll have to wait 8 weeks to get his official score. I'm so proud of him! 1 test down, 8 more to go. :o) The next test is in November, so he's already back to studying. :o) We got to work today to find that his co-workers took a photo of his face, blew it up, made copies and hung it all around the office in celebration. :o) I currently have 3 of Nate's faces staring at me.

Aloha
I know, I know, we've only been back from Mexico for a little over a week, but I'm already starting to plan next summer's anniversary get-away. We won't be booking anything for a couple more months, but we like to get a head start in our planning. :o) We are planning to do a week in Maui. I haven't been to Hawaii since I was little and Nate's never been, so it seemed like a good choice. I don't really have any interest in island hopping and Maui had the most things that we wanted to do, so we chose that island. I'm researching hotels on TripAdvisor, and we're down to a few. I'm going to list out their information below without photos, since they're all beautiful. Our only real requirement is that it's beachfront. We would love to be able to do all of our breakfasts in the room, so a refrigerator would suffice for that, and we'd like to have access to a gym... and keep it under $300/day. Here's our choices as of now:

1. Napili Kai Beach Resort
*Rated #9 out of 30 hotels in Lahaina on TripAdvisor
*Located on a private beach
*We would get a hotel room ocean view for $295/night
*Free parking
*Has a gym on site
*No kitchen in room, just a small refrigerator

2. Ka'anapali Beach Hotel
*Rated #6 out of 30 hotels in Lahaina on TripAdvisor
*Located on Ka'anapali Beach (supposedly the best beach in Maui)
*We would get a basic room for $199/night
*$9/day parking
*No gym on site
*No kitchen, just a small refrigerator

3. Resortquest Maui Ka'anapali Villas
*Rated #23 out of 30 hotels in Lahaina on TripAdvisor
*Located on Ka'anapali Beach
*We would get the basic room for $226/night + resort fee $12/day
*Free parking
*Has a gym on site
*No kitchen, just a refrigerator

4. Resortquest Mahana at Ka'anapali
*Rated #1 of 30 hotels in Lahaina on TripAdvisor
*Located on Ka'anapli Beach
*We would get a oceanfront studio for $298/night
*Free parking
*$20/day to use gym
*Has a full kitchen

5. Royal Lahaina Resort
*Rated #20 of 30 hotels in Lahaina on TripAdvisor
*Located on Ka'anapli Beach
*We would get a garden cottage room for $226/night + $16/day resort fee
*Free parking
*Has a gym on site
*No kitchen, just a refrigerator

Have any of you been to Maui? If so, where did you stay and do you recommend it? Also, any other Maui advice would be much appreciated. I have a short list of things I want us to do while we're there (zip line the crater, drive the Road to Hana, bike the island, Feast at Lele, dinner at Mama's Fish House), but I really don't know what I should really try to do while there.

Also, we're having trouble finding flights to Maui for less than $2000-$2600 for the roundtrip for both of us. Do you all have any recommendations on where we could find cheaper flights?? Thanks!!
