anastasie 's journal - I love and found it so true that I MUST post in my journal! I love being from the south! Anyway, on to the quote:
"A southern girl is a girl who knows full and well that she can open a door for herself but prefers for the gentleman to do it because it demonstrates a sense of respect. After all, every girl wants to be treated like a princess. We know how to make sweet tea and grits while telling you everything about any football team in the SEC. We pick our battles and fight with the heart of a pitbull while still maintaining grace and elegance. Our mystique is that of a soft-spoken, mild-mannered southern belle who could direct an army, loves her momma and will always be daddy's little girl." ~Kathryn Voyles
I made sweet tea for the first time this summer in Kansas; I have been making Grits since I was in Elem school and one of dad's friends taught me how when we used to all go to Gatlinburg in the fall; today I talked Ole Miss, Bama, and Vandie football, and also the big race weekend at 'Dega; pick your battles is a much - know when to speak up and when to pipe down!!! Family is SO important!!!!
Ah, back to the paper!!!! This one is going SO much better! I should be asleep by 1:00, though midnight was my goal, I keep doing things like updating my LJ!
