Well, the life is pretty much boring and everyday. Larry and I had an in-depth conversation concerning my health and the assistance I need. I am taking more time for me, whether it be shopping by myself or doing a girl's night out. Slowly but surely, And he is adjusting, mainly by me forcing him to adjust. Kinda like him caring for the babies - shove a baby in his arms and he will learn.
On a baby note, the girls are growing like crazy. We had their 9 mos dr visit the first week of Jan. Reese is 15lbs exactly and 25" long. Riley is 14lbs 4 oz. and 26' long. Riley is still taller than sister by an inch. But the doc was concerned about the weight because Riley hasn't made the chart yet for weight. She thought about it all night and called in the morning. We are now feeding her an egg for breakfast. I asked about both of them and she ok'd it.
But after a week of eating eggs, Reese had an allergic reaction to it. Hives on her face, cheeks swelling - all the minor reactions - fortunately, no breathing issues. I was of course by my self, but I must say I stayed calm until she was well and over it - then I had to take some deep breathes. Fortunately, the doc had previously figured out a dosage for Benadryl at their size. I was just grateful and glad because I was prepared and could handle it. But no more eggs for Reese!
The girls are moving around like crazy, pulling up and walking along things they feel comfortable - coffee tables, low shelves, etc. Riley is the daredevil while Reese is more cautios. Or at least I thought so, until I found Reese trying to hook a leg over the side of her leg. We immediately lowered her bed to the lowest level. But I can anticipate needing toddler beds soon. And new car seats. I just realized this week that 26" means the girls have 4 inches to go and they are too small for their infant car seats. But at least they will be getting almost a whole year out of it. I have heard stories of babies only using them four months when they grow out of them. And after spending that amount of money - I would be severly pissed if I only got 4 mos out of 2 $180 car seats. (They were too small to fit into anything else but the Chicco car seat)
