"you could save me" - free canned goods
so i have recently acquired a rather large box of various canned goods that my spoiled american middle-class upbringing has made me too picky to be interested in consuming. of course my first impulse had me looking in the direction of my dumpster. but then i got to thinking.
there is seriously a large amount of food and just because i wont eat canned peas or make use of cranberry sauce or pumpkin pie or apricots, doesn't mean that others wouldn't feast upon it and be damn grateful for having something other than ketchup packets to eat.
so to the point; where could i go to donate this box of canned goods?
i am not very familiar with this sort of thing. i've really never been in a position where i could give like this and i want to make sure that i do it right. i know some of you have more knowledge about this than i, so please help me.
