American Idol n all other reality shows
sometimes i hate watching all these reality shows : idol series, the amazing race, survivors, the apprentice, america's next top models, fear factors, etc etc.
reason being very simple : i hate to feel addicted to something!!! i feel like im taking drugs when i got addicted n keep thinking about the show n the contestant in it!!!
actually i dont really watch TV a lot coz im very busy all the time, u know, i work all the time n at my free time i dont want to stare at another type of monitor/screen so i'd rather read a book or draw something on papers.
but when all these reality shows start to show on TV, being a fan to most of them, i need to squeeze some time to watch them!! n u know, some of the shows are showing at almost the same time in the year so my night hours will be taken off to watch TV!
GRRRRRRRR i love those shows but i hate them too.
n also, the reason i dont like watching those shows r, very often we will like/love/admire some of the contestant in the show. n it will usually affect us so much. i.e : we start to talk like them (or at least quote them very often), or we start to defend them while talking to other people.
soemtimes i feel really stupid to argue those things with some of my frens like OH HELL I HATE TAYLOR! HE SHALL DIE LIKE RIGHT NOW! or HEY HOW CAN U NOT LOVE KATHARINE MCPHEE?? IM HAVING A MCPHEEVER U KNOW?! or stuff similar to that.
i feel totally silly n childish to act like taht but i cant help :p he he. n very often i read LJs or blogs which write about stuff like these too. n it usually ended up making me change my perception on someone.
recently since the latest season of American Idol is going on air, many LJers r writing about it - mostly on their opinions on the song they sang, or more r targeting to the idol him/herself. n boy i cant believe the way they write! or more like the way they think! everyone thought they r simon cowell, but they they are as shallow as paula!!
i understand that we all have our own point of view n we r all allowed to voice it in our blogs, that is the purpose of our blog anyways. but i just cant stand the way they write, or think. some think that they do music n so they can attack n write mean things about the idols as though they r actually capable of doing so.. SORRY YOU CANT!
