I guess thats why they call it tripping
Acid and Road trips and have a lot in common
at least long solo road trips...
they’re both exciting when you set out,
even when you’re prepared and experienced…
they both go wrong in ways you didn’t expect
in the middle you sometimes just want it to be over...
and at the end you often wish they could go on
and when they’re over you're sad, but relieved to be back at home.
they both involve seeing pretty things
find adventure in the mundane
looking at the world with a bit more wonder
the both take you out of your habitual for a while
and help you refresh your perspective
and they both involve a lot of mental housekeeping
where you will unearth some things you’ve been steadfastly avoiding… and discover some treasures you’d feared lost, or forgotten entirely
