Is anyone else saddened that Russel Brand is making more sense than most of the politicians on this matter?

I think it's because firstly, he's been off the rails himself and also because he speaks without agenda. He doesn't want to be elected, so he can say what he genuinely thinks. But yes, he makes a lot more sense than a lot of the politicians around at the moment.

These are great links, yet again. Yes, the Russell Brand op-ed is great. It's direct and self-effacing and a few politicians could learn a thing or two. Remarkable how the media is still wanting to drag this into something more (well of course they are), so it's great to see some media spaces are examining the issues instead of just pretending (like the PM) that it can all be explained away.

I saw that letter to DC's parents! It's funny but also, right on the money.

I think a lot of people are angry all over the place.
I can't believe that they're still going to cut police force numbers after this week. Seriously. ugh
