Dinner at the Thai restaurant in Takapuna was absolutely lovely. Tried the Lindaur Savignion sparkling wine, and it was yum! The team was in fine spirits last night. Lots of laughs were had.
Breakfast this morning was spent at The Langham Hotel in Auckland. OMG if was just devine. I had pastries, fresh fruit, museli, scrambled eggs, bacon, mushrooms, tomato, cooked salmon, hash browns, pancakes, poached egg, eggs benedict, and a flat white, and a glass of cranberry juice. YES it sounds like a lot, but I had very small portions of each thing. So piece of bacon, a small spoonfull of eggs etc. It meant I got to try everything, but not come out feeling full and bloated.
Then we got shown around the hotel and had a look at the rooms. They are lovely, and well appointed. Twin bedding are king singles though. D: I like the double, double or queen/queen bedding option.
I might have to put a flea in Adele and Bill's ear about The Langham, just to get them away from The Rendezvous.
Got to work and there were two packages sitting on my desk.
I brought on Trade me a steampunk brooche and a new pocket watch. Both are soo purdy. Although now seeing the brooch up close, I could make it myself for less, but can I be arsed?? Nah. Here they are below. Also the pocket watch is a wind-up so no batteries!! \o/
Need to finish the corset and skirt tonight!
