Interesting weekend. I have changed my mind about what next costume to do. I will continue to work on the Astraal Vao, but it looks as though I will be doing Oola the green dancing twilek in Return of the Jedi.
I will still do Darth Talon. But I think I will do it in time for Auckland. By that time I should of had enough time to test or the various peices, especially the body painting.
Have almost completed the 16th century saxon hat I have been working on. I just need to sew the ribbon on and it will be done.
Went to the Loli-pop exhibition that was on at the museum. Bumped into John Banks (blargh) and Helen Clarke. I have no idea why they were there, but it must have been an anniversary or something , I remember Karen told me what it was all about, but I didn't listen.
We then wandered around the museum a bit, then I dropped her off in Freemans Bay. I then went to a couple of different places to find some ribbon. Man it is really hard to find black ribbon. Went to Geoff's Emporium in Dominion Rd but it was closed. Then went to Lincoln Rd's Geoff and they had lots of ribbon but none were the colour black. Finally found some in Spotlight.
Drove over to M's and we watched some Buffy. I had been talking about Hush and The Body, so we watched those as examples of how Joss can still create an emotional impact with out word (Hush) and music (The Body).
So while the episodes were playing I was working on my hat. We then watched The Wish and Doppelgangland. The two Vamp Willow-centric episodes. Ahh that Vamp Willow out fit will be mine. I will work on it for Christchurch/Wellington Armageddon.
