Swords and Islands

Well it's my second day in the new job and I am having a lot of fun...if learning new things can be fun. The switch to day shift is a bit hard as my body still wants to sleep during the day, and then I am wide awake at night. *sigh*

The team that I am working with are really cool, and very helpful to the newbie.  I am currently processing payments and have also taken some calls.  Actually the one call that I have had, turned into a mini drama..but I learnt a little about the processes of the job..so it's all good.

Went to sword practice last night, and worked up a very good sweat. *eww* My muscles were pleasantly tired after the training. ^_^

I still felt very very clumsy.  My sword strikes are pretty pathetic, and I have no flow what so ever.  It seems to feel as though I am jerking the sword around, and it just doesn't fee right.  I know that it will come with practice, and that I should just stop comparing myself to the others that are 5 weeks ahead of me in training.  But it's just really hard to do that.  I want to be good now!!

Checked out some swords at Armageddon in Christchurch and will have another look in Wellington.  Although I probably won't buy anything until I go to the Medieval Shop.

Got some really cool news at work today.  They will be doing a famil to the Cook Islands in the begining of May.  I have been asked if I would like to go.  Ummmm my answer. Yes Please!! ^_______^

So off to the Cook Islands I go!!
