Wedding stuff has been elusive and of course, every step of the way, I have had to compromise, compromise.
Well today I was informed that my landlord's son will be having a child (already knew) and the trailer my landlord's family was going to purchase for them + the sewage system they are installing + the lot they have to buy to put the trailer on would be upwards of 30,000 dollars, which they don't have.
So because we live in the newest, most recently remodeled rent house and our lease is up this month, we are being asked to move out by November 1st. They're giving us a little time, guaranteeing our whole deposit back to us, and are even looking as well so that they aren't putting "good renters" out on the street for the son, same age as I, and his knocked up girlfriend. Can't say I blame them, they're only doing what most southern famililes would do. Personally, I would tell him to suck it up and move out since he has a pretty good job because they're losing rent money by having them instead of us.
Sigh. Why does it have to happen during school!? Why always during school. I mean school literally starts next Monday. Argh.
EDIT: So I found a nice Canterbury House Apartment, and I would have to sell my washer and dryer unfortunately, but the up side is we would be close to family, public transportation, have a washing machine, and that would pay off my Lowe's credit card.
Our landlords also have a friend who is renting their 2 bedroom house, central air and heat, 2 houses down from theirs, screened in porch for around 500 dollars. There's a couple other places but I don't know if I should move now...but I don't think I should take the chance either. Wednesday I think I'll go see the Canterbury apartments and if its better than the house, when I see it, then I'll slap my deposit down and my first (September) months rent down and move out Labor Day weekend. It'll give me a couple weeks to gradually move some stuff over and get our services started. Man this is NOT how I wanted to start off my semester.
