[ Investigation #1 ] *edit*
finally getting off my ass and typing this up. woo~
ok, so, starting off:
The client lives in a nearby city, so Sis and I met James at the local starbucks, and I rode in town with him to another starbucks. -_-;; (I think they use them as their unofficial meeting places:P).

while we waited for the rest of the team, we sat and talked to the guy that called us in.
it sounded like it was gonna be interesting, if not a lil scary with the whole grabbing and shaking thing >.> but anyway...all the reports were interesting, and an added note: the activity was enough that his children would NOT sleep upstairs in their bedroom. Even the father no longer sleeps in his room upstairs. They all bunk downstairs on the floor, rather than being up there in the dark.
and all of this started when they first moved in. Barely over a MONTH ago.
so yeah. interesting first case~
First time in:
Team: James, Kim, me.
We were actually the second team to go in, but anyway.
We sat in the living room, and they showed me how to work the thermometer they use. Then we settled in for an EVP session. standard questions: is there anyone here? if you're here, will you make a sound for us, or do something to let us know? why are you here? did you die here? why are you scaring the children here? (etc etc)
Kim and I were sitting on the couch - she was at one end, and I was at the other - and my hands started getting cold for no reason. I didn't think anything of it at first, and I just switched hands, tucking one underneath me to warm it back up, but as soon as I switched hands back - it was cold again almost immediately. I asked Kim to give me her hand, and I pressed mine to hers to see if I was just imagining how cold it was, but she said it was really cold too.
we went back to the evp questions, and Kim's right arm started getting cold at the same time as my left arm. it was like there was a cold spot sitting on the couch between us.
we ended up going upstairs to see if we could find anything up there. We sat in the bedroom where the woman was seen, and tried doing some more evp questions. nothing exciting really happened there. I kept getting a slightly odd feeling, but that was it.
moved to the hallway. James was doing some more evp questions, and he suddenly jumped a lil bit. apparently he saw what looked like half of a person's face in the bathroom across from where he was standing. after that, there wasn't anything going on there, so we moved into the master bedroom.
the bed looked like someone had sat on it, but we're not sure if that was from the team before (Kim didn't remember if they had sat on it or not:P), so we just straightened out the cover, and went back to questioning. Nothing happened.
Next team went in; came out.
Second time in:
Team: James, Brandon, me.
right away lil things started happening. there were sounds like something dropping upstairs, but there was no one else in the house. then we put James' flashlight on the floor near the stairs and started talking, and the light started flickering like it was gonna go out. Brand new batteries in the thing, AND it was LED, I think they said o.O something about how lights like that one aren't supposed to flicker. but this one was.
we kept moving it closer to the stairs cause it seemed like it reacted more when we asked "do you want it closer? do you want us to go upstairs?"
so yeah, went upstairs. back to the room where the woman was seen. still nothing, but the two guys thought they saw shadows moving in the hallway, so we moved back to the hallway, and I sat at the top of the stairs, leaning against the wall. Brandon was next to me by the doorway to the room with the woman, and James was standing ON the stairs, leaning over the banister.
they put the flashlight next to the master bedroom where the family had seen a small shadow run into the room and hide under the bed. They tried asking more questions, but there wasn't really any response, so James said "ok, fine, I'm gonna take it away from you since you don't want to play with us. I don't think you deserve it since you're running around scaring the children here anyway!" when he picked it up, and came back to the banister, he saw a small shadow move in the room, and he heard what sounded like a child running away.
then while I'm sitting there, I thought I noticed a shadow on the wall behind James, but for some reason, I was thinking "oh, it's just his shadow from the light." A second later, Brandon went "James, there's something on the wall behind y-OMG, did you see that?!" (asking me).
The shadow had just disappeared. That's when I realized that it couldn't've been James' shadow...there was no light for him to cast a shadow.

I forgot this part. I don't remember WHAT sparked this, but all of a sudden, Brandon jumped up and spun around, running back into the room where the woman was seen yelling "I SAW THAT! I'm done playing with you! Stop screwing around and show yourself!"
when he came back out the hallway, James told him "right before you jumped up, I saw a little shadow figure leaning over your shoulder."
apparently Brandon saw it too. I didn't get to see anything on that one, BUT there is one other thing I saw:
after Brandon got back from chasing the shadow into the one room, I turned and looked right in front of me, and I swear, it looked like a little child was staring at me. It had it's little arms on the top step, and the chin was resting on them. It wasn't spooky or anything. It just reminded me of a baby that's just old enough to climb the stairs, and it saw someone to play with, so it's got this happy!baby smile. I don't know... but yeah, THAT was my excitement:P
*sighs* unfortunately, that was the most excitement I got that night. Some idiot started doing construction work on the apartment next door to the one we were in at like 2am. -_-;; So yeah, we had to leave.
The other teams saw a shadow hand reaching out from under the bed and looking like it was trying to snatch something from on top of the mattress. they said it kinda looked like it was trying to yank something underneath the bed with it. *shudder*
I don't think they've gone over the evidence yet, but once they do, if we get anything good, I'll see if I'll be allowed to share it^_^ Hopefully it'll make up for the lack of good stuff:(
oh, and next saturday...that's a scary one. >.< wish me luck guys...luck and sanity, lol.

- Shadow figure peeking around a corner at the father.
- figure of a woman standing in the closet (clear enough that the daughter could describe her to her father).
- shadow figure crawling in the upstairs hall (toddler sized/shaped)
- something grabbing and shaking the children's feet while they're laying in bed
- smell of cigarette smoke (but the guy also smokes, so we don't really worry too much about that)
- footsteps walking back and forth upstairs while everyone else is downstairs.
- things turning on and off on their own
