meh. my updates always end up being like this. -_-;;
Latest highlights:
work
1) I've been switched from stocker to cashier + stocker:P Basically, I'm cashier 85% of the time. The other 15% is split up between truck day, and like..one day a week where I do both:P I'll be on register, but in slow moments, I'll be stocking until I hear someone call me back to the front.
It's not bad^_^;; It took a while to get used to, not because I'm out of practice as cashier, but rather because I have TOO much practice XD;;; Since BigLots is a close out store, our stock is constantly changing...that means the bar codes on the boxes/cans of stuff = no use for us. We have to retag everything, and I keep forgetting to scan the right bar code -_-;;
2) I had a classic blonde moment the other day though...when I came into work, there was a movie playing. I asked Sean what movie it was, and he told me 'Benji', and we even had a nice lil convo about how I'd never seen it, and didn't know anything about it.
Less than an hour later...a customer came in, and asked me "do you guys carry tvs?" And I told her "no....I don't think we do, but let me ask someone else, ok?" Then turned around, and Sean was close by, so I asked him.
He just stared at me. then asked "you're kidding, right?" Turns and looks at where the movie is playing.
On a tv.
with a great big price tag on the front and everything. *smacks head on desk* He gave me a hard time for a couple hours until I reminded him "ok, mr. smarty pants, who was it that scheduled everyone else for 7am, and then didn't show up til 8?" which promptly got me an "oh shut up.", lol. But he left me alone for the rest of the day;) yay for winning XD
3) Sean also pissed me off the other day...grabbed something out of my hand and slammed it down, but I'm trying to let it go. He's been supermajorlyomgwtf!stressed lately cause the district manager is coming for a visit any day now, and he's been trying to make sure everything is ready for the guy.
4) Do I have 'demon spawn' tattooed across my forehead, and just don't know it, or something? First, I had a guy walking by me while I was stocking, and he handed me a religious track (which I threw away asap), but then yesterday when I was a cashier, this old guy came through my line. So, of course, I took care of him, wished him a nice day, (you know, the standard 'now ya'all come back now, y'hear?' spiel), and moved on. well, he happened to see a friend of his nearby, so he ended up staying pretty close to where I was for a good 20 minutes just yapping away.
His friends left at about the same time that I was getting ready to count my drawer down, so he turned back to me to say 'goodbye/have a good day/whatever', and he bowed (which I missed, cause I was going with the whole 'no eye contact, no eye contact' poa), then he asked "do you know why I bowed to you?"
I was going to just smile it off, and move on, but the other cashier took the bait.
Cashier: "No, I don't...why'd you bow?"
Old Guy: "because you are a princess."
me = 'here we go.'
C: whaaat?
OG: that's right. it says in the Bible, that once we are all saved, we are God's children, and we are all kings and queens, princes and princesses.
C: Oh...really. (you could tell she was going "dammit >.<;; one of THOSE again...)
and so it began. I finally got rid of him by saying that I needed to close up, and "please excuse me", but not before he gave me a bible story card (which, like the religious tract from before, because almost instantaneous trash.)
*sighs* hopefully the girl will know better next time.

1) Danny is a wonderful person that doesn't deserve what's happening, and ilh muchly. <3 Dannerz
2) bro in law goes back and forth between being a dink and being somewhat human. Sis is doing the same thing kinda, lol. Oikko is still being a lazy ass.
3)I'm a dumbass, lol.
I was trying to cut open a plastic case (like the ones cd players come in...) with, of all things, a butcher knife. it didn't work quite right.
even though I was trying to cut AWAY from myself, I still managed to slice across the top of one finger, and the point went into a second finger. Hurt like hell, but it wasn't real bad. I'd rather have the cut I got than a papercut, let's put it that way, but then again, I'd rather gut myself than get a papercut, so I guess that's not saying much -_-;;

HELLACIOUS storm last night. power went out twice, but that wasn't the bad part. it had SEEMED to calm down when I went to bed. It was mostly just rain, so I wasn't worried about being out in my "room".
once I got out there though, it seems to get its second wind. *annoyed* We were under a tornado watch, and the wind was so blowing so hard, I couldn't tell if it was just the noise from that, a real train going by (we live somewhat near tracks), or a tornado. so needless to say, I was NOT happy. I ended up calling Danny twice to check the weather for me, just in case a warning had been issued. (he can testify how loud it was...he could hear it through the phone x_x)
we were under a flash flood warning, but we didn't see any flooding where we are, so meh. The middle of our inside road had a small river in the middle, but that was it.
anyway...the worst part of the storm hit at like...5am. it sounded like it was hailing, and then there was a somewhat calm moment when I thought "I'm not gonna get any sleep out here anyway, so I might as well go to the house..", and then it started up again, and I swear it sounded like a mini explosion right outside where I was. so yeah, instant change of mind for me XD;; I figured I'd rather deal with the noise where I was:P
found out this morning: lightning hit the flagpole right next to the house/office. AND it apparently hit the house too, cause all of the breakers on one side were flipped, and it took out one of the security cameras:X I'm guessing it actually hit the camera, and that's what tripped the breakers. You can see scorch marks on the flag pole, and on the camera base:X
*sighs* since I ended up getting no sleep last night, when I got home from work, I ended up falling asleep at my desk. -_-;; bro-in-law (from now on known as BIL, cause I'm lazy) woke me up and told me to go upstairs and take a nap (which, I did*_*) got in a good two hours, but I'm still tired, so I'm hoping it won't be too hard for me to fall asleep again :S

I have almost 200 saved up:O Not sure how long that will last, but I'm trying:X I got two prepaid credit cards, and I'm putting the majority of each paycheck on one, and then an "allowance" on the other. I've been pretty good about it too^_^;; so far, the biggest purchase was the Kttn single:P
