So, I finished the first book on my list last night,
Eldest by Christopher Paolini.
It was a really good book! I found it a bit hard to start, even on the heels of Eragon, the first book in this trilogy. The story started a little slow but I think that's because instead of having to tell one person's story, it branched out into telling one person's story, one villages story and one rebel groups story. Suddenly there were many more characters to introduce the reader to, and many more cultures as well.
But, the story carries you through the slow parts, and the driving need to find out what will happen next and the ages old question of "how will he get out of this pickle?"
I found the ending to be quite satisfying, even if I could guess what was going to happen about two pages before it did.
Definately read
Eragon before you read
Eldest, but read them both. Then start
Brisingr. I recommed all three!
