Spent my New Years catching some awesome tribute bands. Hollyweird is a Poison Tribute band and they are kick ass! The guy who plays Brett is Scott and he looks a lot like Brett to be his brother. He has the moves and sounds like him as well. the C.C. Deville guys looks nothing like C.C. For one he is WAY too fucking tall and two he is not ugly enough LOL! Time has not done well with poor C.C. Believe me I have been standing right next to the man and seen him up close and personal.
Appetite for Distruction is a Guns N Roses tribute band. The guy who plays Axel looks like he could be related. ALthough he has a larger build, no fat just different build. He was extremely nice and posed for a picture with me and my Sister and we are awaiting it to be emailed to us. The guy who played Slash has the hair going on and when he has the hat and glasses on he looks a lot like him. Although way skinnier LOL! He was really sweet and we posed for pictures with him as well. My Sister is working on getting the pictures from her phone to the computer. These guys sound just like Guns N Roses. Although the Axel guy needs to work on the Shananananana knees part (no I did not count but sure you get the idea) LOL! He has a pretty damn good hip shimmy going on. Although not near as good as Axel he is damn good at playing him.
The rest of the night was spent at home getting wasted, I was DD and did well at it I think. Also spent the time thinking over the past year like everyone else does. Did not do my usual tradition and watch a series of movies. Did not have time. I looked over all that had happened this year. Which was tons of live music. Big name bands and small name bands. Meeting intresting rock and roll people such as Jani Lane from Warrant and his girlfriend Sheila. Jani was really sweet and spent some time with me and my eldest daughter and signed shirts for us. Did not expect to meet him just happened to wander over that way to say good bye to Sheila, we had been talking to her for a good long time outside when we found out that she was dating him. Well she got us back there cause we had helped her out and were not weird fans who would lynch him or anything like that. Have gotten to hang out with local bands here and support them anyway we can. Such as bring new people to listen to them and get hooked onto their music. Bought their shirts and play the music really loud so others will hear it and ask who it is and gain another fan that way. Got to see Aerosmith 3 times. Wanted to catch Paul Stanley's solo but the closest he came to me was Atlanta GA and there was no way I could get there. Oh well if and when he gets out again will keep an eye out and catch a show that is close enough for me to get to. Heard it was an awesome show when someone saw my KISS shirt the other night and started talking about KISS and Paul and his solo work. Always nice to meet other fans who love the same music.
Only bad thing about New Years Eve was the asshole who was pushing me, stepping on my foot, elbowing me in the boob, and who really should not have been allowed up there due to the fat he was the tallest damn ass in the whole room. Two heads taller than me and I am not that short. Well he got the mild side of my temper later seeming as how me shoving back did not stop him. Also helps to have someone in eye sight that you know and is built like a brick wall LOL! The guy who asked where my boyfriend was and was told I was alone but happily married wanted to try to bite my shoulder when I had my back to him. He did not like the response. Basically I turned and stressed the happily married and not intrested point in a loud way. Kept my hands to myself and did not hit anyone LOL!
So that was my New Years. Hopefully this coming one will be just as good or even better! I hope that it is full of loud kick ass music and awesome people! Wish you all the same in your coming year!
