Hello to all.
I've joined this site to announce the completion of my first novel YAY! For those of you who are writers, you'll be able to understand my excitement and for those of you who are readers, you can appreciate the time and effort and most importantly, love, that goes into writing (and actually completing) a novel.
So, I have moved on to editing, which I can say I'm more than a little wary about. I haven't the first idea about how to tell my muse that some of her work is either under par or unnecessary. I've been trying to send her away for the last few days, but she keeps popping in and out--mostly when I'm about to delete large amounts of her work--without warning and she practically begs until my hand inches away from the delete key.
If anyone has any suggestions in the editing department, please let me know, I could use all the help I can get. I have looked into hiring a professional editor, but the cost seems to be above my head at the moment, so it looks like it's just me.
It's frustrating, to say the least. But I'm currently working on Chapter four (Out of Twenty three or so). I have a long way to go, but I also have a great support system that already has their hands out awaiting the chapters I have finished. It's a wonderful feeling. It truly is.
If anyone out there is also an aspiring writer or if you aspire toward another dream, my advise is do it! Just go out there and make it happen. It's the most elated feeling in the world to be doing what you love.
Okay, misty eyed moment over.
If this entry were a song, it would be...Switchfoot- Let Your Love Be Strong
Check it out if you've never heard it. Great song.
Well, back to the grindstone.
Thanks for reading!
