Alyson & Alexis Interview about the birth of their baby

Alyson and Alexis talk about their decision to have a home birth in  Part One of their video interview on the website My Best Birth.  Part Two should be coming shortly.

I loved hearing about Alyson's mom worrying about how it would work, "Well, where's Alexis going to sit?"  And Alexis going, "Anywhere he wants, it's his house."

What a lovely couple.

I was thinking how cute they are too, but since everyone else has already said so I won't mention it. :-)

I will say though:

Alyson apparently intersperses all her conversations with "Y'know", just like Willow used to. I wonder if the writers gave the character that conversational quirk because she did, or if she picked it up herself after playing the role for seven years?

It seems weird to hear her saying "We got pregnant" rather than "I". I know why she's saying it, but it still makes me look at Alexis in a whole new way...

I don't think it's possible to oversell how cute they are. I give you leave to squee. :)

Y'know, it wouldn't surprise me if her speech patterns did influence the way Willow was written. Alyson's personality just seems very Willow to me (am I wrong? or crazy?) and I think the writers were influenced by the actors personalities. Like how Angel likes hockey. Yeah, sure, ME writers. Don't you mean that Boreanaz likes hockey? Or that Marsters has an intensive background in theater and seems very well-read and can sing... just like Spike.

I kinda love that she says "we", but LOL to looking at Alexis differently. Someone should ask snickfic to write some Wes mpreg fic now.

Well... I think Alyson is who Willow might one day grow up to be. But Aly's natural personality seems to be a lot more self-confident, down to earth and, well, earthy (or even raunchy) than Willow was for most of the show...

I know that actors all list out all their odd skills and interests on their resumés, then live in hope that the writers will notice that and work it into the plot of the show somehow. :-)
