I just want to enjoy it. I want to experience it. To breathe it. It's similar to how I first watched Buffy. I wasn't a part of fandom until after the show had ended even though I'd watched it from the first season on. I love reading other people's in-depth thoughts, but I want to be the viewer. I think I'm still in the discovery stage of being a fan. Dollhouse is still wooing me, ya know? It's all very exciting, but it's not at the level of my deep, abiding love for Buffy and Angel.

BtVS is the first "closed canon" fandom I've been involved in, and I've really enjoyed that experience of being able to analyze and write meta having the full text in front of me.
I do enjoy speculation on "mystery" type shows, like Veronica Mars and BSG, but that's mostly for the satisfaction of solving the mystery before the show gives me the answer.
For most shows - especially the layered, complicated ones - I like reading other people's thoughts and reactions, who pick up on things I might've missed, but don't really engage in speculation.
