Thanks! Thanks for reading and mucho thanks for leaving a comment. I'm glad Anya's voice shone through. It's my first time writing for her. I've been thinking about continuing this in a series of "sessions" - perhaps in the next one Anya will tackle her bunny-fear. :)
I am having a wonderful time trying to figure out how her therapist rationalizes what she's hearing! Tee! If she's not in the know, she must want to institutionalize everybody on the Hellmouth. Dear Anya. She tries so damn hard.
Hehe! Well, I actually considered including the "notes" the therapist was taking but decided it detracted from the story a bit. Suffice it to say, Dr. Raeburn thinks Anya is a paranoid schizoprenic with delusions of persecution. Oh and a nymphomaniac. She thinks Anya also might have Turrets. ;)
And I'm delighted that you're "having a wonderful time" from reading something I wrote. That's a huge compliment.
...why a doctor who graduated from Harvard would work in Sunnydale of all places. Your Anya voice is marvelous. She notices everything in the office and blithely and casually tells this therapist about her life in Sunnydale.
it would be interesting if you had all the BTVS characters go to therapy
I've actually been considering it. :) I actually have a few more ideas for Anya, too.
The first characters that come to mind are Buffy (throughout any time of the show), Joyce (when Buffy runs away and she's learned Buffy is a Slayer), Xander (post-Chosen after Anya died, we really ought to have seen his grieving process for her), Dawn (post-The Gift), Giles (either in Season 4 or post-The Gift).

Which she feels bad about and I understand that she was doing her job, but getting stabbed in the chest isn’t the best form of conflict resolution.
Hahahahaha. Great Anya voice.

The doctor's notes on these people should make fascinating case studies.
