Procrastination

Aug 03, 2009 21:35

I should be writing right now, but I'm not.  That's right.  I'm watching True Blood instead.  Sookuh, you best listen to me with my old-fashioned Southehn acksent, mmhmm.

(yes writing in an obvious vernacular is annoying, but it's funny!  okay, funny for me.)

That's totally what I'm doing right now, too! I just started on the show, and the accents are killing me! But it's fun.

Fun enough to completely distract me from the writing I should be doing, yeah!

Well, morally I feel more comfortable liking Bill, but I find him to be so overbearing too. And Eric is far more interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing his character developed.

I'm just now watching ep 4 of Season 2, so there's been quite a bit of Eric so far.

I think it's that Bill is more interested in trying to abide human rules and protect humanity, where as Eric, well, I think he really might have killed Lafayette (who I love on the show though I know he's very different in the books, isn't he? a more minor role). I haven't read the books yet but my best friend has been saying the same thing about how they're different though she just started reading.

How different is the show from the books?

LOL at your icon!

I've been watching the show since the beginning, and I still can't get over how seriously bad the accents are. They drive me crazy, and Bill is British in real life, so it's even worse. If they only would have let him keep his regular accent, he might have been sexier to me...lol!

Actually, his accent isn't as bad as Anna's.

Oh, don't even get me started on hers...lol! It's so dreadful, I just find the way he says her name to be hilarious.

Oh my God, it SO is!!!! The first time I heard it, I was all, "That sounds like how you call a pig or a dog or something. Here, Sookie, Sookie, Sookie."
