wacky and wild times in fandom
So I just took a walk down memory lane rereading the BtVS Penguin AU spree of 2010. Remember that? If you somehow missed this, go forth and enjoy this perfectly wacky and wild moment in fandom when the stars aligned and the penguins were plentiful.
This really is the perfect microcosm of what I love most about fandom, where people creating wonderful and bizarre fanworks inspire others to create and it becomes this wonderful ~event nobody could ever see coming. You can't manufacture it, you're just along for the ride. Pure joy.
Can anyone else think of fandom moments like this (tho presumably with less penguins)?
