Oh, thank You for posting. :)

I love Your thoughts about this comic (which i cannot access, since my log in data seems to be lost, and DH isn't able to produce an answer - i cannot create a new log in, since my email data is already in the system... so, my code is rotting on my hard drive).

I especially love how this mini comic seems to encompass Spike's journey since the end of S7 - which only re-enforces my long standing belief, that AtS (and of course IDW - let's speak of it no more *spits*) isn't the whole story, but more of a tell-tale, a could-have-happened-that-way story when considering Buffy's story ("things got fuzzy in LA").

So Whedon/Espenson (and btw.: is that her author's name on the back of the bug romance novel?) take their time to bring the reader up to speed, so to speak, where Spike is coming from and where he stands now. let'S hope that this high and poetic quality of writing continues (i fear meltzerization...).

Yeah, I had the same problem with DH not processing my answer. So I created a new account actually because they wouldn't reply to give me my password. But you should go to newly_legion and you'll find what you're looking for. :D

I'm hopeful, too! I want to keep it up with the Whedon/Espenson style here. I feel like Spike with all those burn wounds after the severe Meltzerization. DNW a repeat of that experience.

Go read and come back to chat with me, k?

Little tidbits: While Spike's healing up nicely once he makes the connections - the last of his wounds stay until he's finally home. *love*

Your observation about (lonely) Spike chaperoning the dance are spot on. (Also: the disco lights in that panel! Yay! long live disco! I'm sorry Spike, but you'll have to bear it. No punk tunes for you - different culture! ;-))

Shooting space guns (acting before thinking/knowing) lands Spike flat on his ass. :D And covered in princess colors. And demon goo. All for the price of one.

Socks: still white. Buffy's clothes: still nothing. (Maybe just Jeanty trying to be colorful...)

Awww, he doesn't fully heal till he's home ♥ ♥ ♥

Hee! Disco is no doubt what sent him running to the shadows. So it's the yearning for connection that keeps him chaperoning when he'd rather be running away from the bad/tacky music, right.

SO SPIKE. :D

I hadn't noticed the white socks. I swoon all over again.

Espenson clearly heals some Meltzer-induced injuries with the details and the wit. White socks, B+S hearts, Spike-with-halo in holy ceremonies - all very tongue-in-cheek but oh! so very cute. :-)

The "1000 and a half hour" really re-enforces the fairy tale vibes: long lost Spike's return to home.

"It's a thousand and a half hours to Earth, we got an armful of bug legs, half a pack of cigarettes, it's outer space, and we're not wearing a pressure suit."

"Hit it."
