Grrr, those Spuffy hatin' comments make my blood boil. I can't stand it when people hate on Spike for everything that he did as a soulless vampire and use them as an excuse for why Buffy cannot have a relationship with him. I mean, hello? She seemed quite comfortable with Angel as well. You have to consider the precedents and rules of the 'verse and put these things in their proper context.

But it's so great to see everyone rallying behind each other! ^_^ Buffy loves rules all.

I get why some people react emotionally, but there's also a lot of hypocrisy going around too! GRRRR.

I guess you have to join to comment -- but not gonna. There's way too much hatred over there. I'm with them on Buffy not getting called whiny, but that's not a reason to spew so much hate around. And it's not even like they have their hate on just for Spike and Spike fans. Yuk. Unpleasant people are unpleasant.

It's like wading through a forum, you've gotta pick your battles. You know how BF has the Ignore option? Well, I already have that talent for selective reading when it comes to failure-opinions like that. So I'm able to dismiss it for what it is and share my opinion.

I also hate reading about Dawn being whiny, if one day you discover that you're not real and all past memories of you are fake I dare you not to whine.

I hate seeing people beat up Dawn. Poor kid--finds out her whole life has been a lie, her mom dies, a hell god wants to kill her, she thinks she's gonna have to commit suicide to keep the world from ending--AND SHE'S WILLING TO DO IT--all at what? 14 years old. I'd like to see anyone take on one of those things and not be whiny, let alone all of them. Grrr.

When was Buffy whiny? I mean really, I need examples. The AngstFest that was B/A was annoying to a point, true. But out of the teenage drama when was Buffy whiny? 90% of the time she should have been complaining about her sucky life she actually was kicking ass.

I don't even know. I couldn't tell you what the arguments are for pro-whiny because I read them and all I see is BS.

The idea I have of whiny really doesn't result in Buffy. Especially seasons 5,6 and 7. I mean she wasn't even sleeping in S7 and you never saw her complaing about it. grrr

Exactly! Buffy goes without sleep for days and then gets beaten to a bloody mess by the Turokhan. What does she do?
