quinara has written an epic poem that has Buffy and Illyria switching bodies. The fascinating part: it's more than just two humans switching, of course, but Buffy going into the body of an Old One in a Shell and Illyria seeing the world through truly human eyes. It's just incredible. Even if you might find the poetry challenging, I want to wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone. (I think of poetry as taking a slow drink of a tall glass of water... take your time...) It's absolutely beautiful and the wonders expressed truly encapsulates what I love about bodyswaps. When you move beyond the 99% "teehee! Bodyswap = Pron!" stories, you find gems like this that truly explore what it means to see the world through new eyes.
It's brilliant. The language is beautiful. The piece is wonderfully crafted. The only thing I could wish for was more because I wanted it to go on and on.
