Divorced? Me?? Well, I guess it can happen to anyone...
So, it looks like I'm single. Look out! ;)
Brian asked me for a divorce, citing "needing to find himself", and we filed the papers on Monday. Two months or so from now when the court date comes, I will officially be single.
It's actually kind of refreshing - you don't think about anything but panic and fear of being alone when it happens, but once that passes you start thinking about how many new opportunities and adventures there are opening up... ::chuckle:: I guess I'm still an optimist (albeit a somewhat cynical one, if that's not too much of an oxymoron).
I'm getting some renovations done on MY house (yes, it's mine!) including new floors and a torn-down/rebuilt laundry room, and it's going to be GORGEOUS-ish soon. I'll sell it then and move - somewhere - not sure where I want to go yet. I'll probably stay local for now, as I am basking in the love and warmth of my family and friends over this whole brouhaha, but it's nice to have the freedom to dream again and wonder what surprises I will find. :)
