Holidays are always eventful, but this year has been particularly wierd. I left Atlanta with one roommate, Brenda, a school teacher and Mission Year alum. When I return to Atlanta, I will be living with Kelly and Ben, two Parole Officers. Note: Kelly and Ben are not a couple. We are just three coworkers who have known each other since September. Now, they moved in when I left. It is like returning to a new life.
Not that my living situation isn't wierd enough, but I also counted how many roommates I have had since starting college...15. Is that normal?
Life wierder yet: I went to a holiday party last night here in New York. Now, most people my age would go to a party with their family...or their friends...or even their coworkers. Not me. The holiday party I get invited to is with FOUR former high school teachers and my PRINCIPLE...oh yes, and their families. Wierd. Not only was I the only SINGLE there (definite Sex and the City moment), but I was also the only FORMER STUDENT/NOT TEACHER there. The icing on the cake wierdness...I had a good time. No wonder why I am single.
P.S. and to shake up all my life stability...all the teachers think I should just become a teacher and get it over with because I am meant to do it. We'll see.
P.S.2 I just signed up for a missions trip to Africa!!!
