Michael on set of "The English Teacher"
Filming is underway on what is turning out to be a very promising project and local uptown New York news blog Tarrytown Patch has the first images of Michael Angarano and Julianne Moore on the set of indie dramedy “The English Teacher.” The two filmed at an art gallery which has been converted into a coffee house, and huddled under an umbrella together in some makeshift rain.
Moore plays a high school teacher whose life is turned upside down by the return of a former student (Angarano) whose journey to becoming a successful write in New York City has ended in failure. Nathan Lane and Lily Collins rounds out the cast under the direction of Craig Zisk. By the glasses on Moore’s face, it’s obvious her character is supposed to be frumpy and not all that attractive. Oh, magical movie glasses, the way superheroes and hot women simply disappear behind them.
