I never post stuff, but here I am!

Today has been boring... but kind of relaxing at the same time. I started making photocubes for my dorm, and took a bike ride, and just lazed around a lot. I guess that's a consequence of being more social in the past month than I was in all 4 years of high school: when I'm home I get bored with myself, which never used to happen. I hope my hermitishness isn't gone forever, because being lazy with myself was good when I enjoyed it.

My neighbor has set me up with some pretty sweet work to do for her. I'm the new production assistant for BrandtBarndollar, which means I add numbers, do percentages, and make things look pretty for $8.25 an hour. It's easy peasy, I can usually talk to people/listen to my music/watch movies/wear pjs/eat while I'm doing it because it's all computer stuff, and it's a heck of a lot better than opening boxes/folding for hours on end. I can take a break whenever I need to; I can wear whatever I want to (no shoes!); I can fit it into my schedule so long as it's all done by saturday night. Oh, another plus, I get a recommendation letter from BrandtBarndollar saying "Emma did fact-checking and was a production assistant for us, she did a great job" so that maybe in January/next summer I can get cooler work than JCPenney too!

On another note, I need to get lots more music before I go to Smith. I like making lists of books and CDs and things that I need, but they're starting to get a little long for someone with what is soon to be not so much money... Holy shizzle, going to college is scary! And exciting... and still I'm still terrified...

Tonight will not be usual tuesday night madness with Mell and Ha and people becuase Mell isn't home this tuesday... This is so strange to me right now; we've been hanging out on tuesdays all summer! There are also the people I haven't seen all summer, like Claire, and Emily from Cape, and Nick (who I actually saw screaming at me from the back of Enzo yesterday). People that I don't necessarially hang out with a lot, but nonetheless, it just seems weird not to see them after this past school year.

The best things about today: taking a break from obsessing about a few things, finding The Revolutionary Ninja Pirates (it's a band), listening to of Montreal a lot, and just feeling a bit like myself.
