slow-paced window shop

I haven't been really enjoying my shopping experiences here. I mean, I do, sometimes in the beginning. But usually in the end of the day, I found it sooo unnecessarily tiring, and pointless...
But today I had a different experience :)

So, it's public holiday. Planning to hunt for our dress for Jac's wedding + some other items with Hong.
Woke up moderately late, hehe... but it was good... woke up when had enough but also not too much of the sleep (like I sometimes did, haha..). Had chai kueh brought by Silvy's mom, laundry, tidying up room, relaxed at sofa, had lunch... and then left home. We didn't even plan for the time to go out, haha...

The initial plan was to go to The Central, so we took CT18 to Chinatown to then walk to Clarke Quay. But we walked to the wrong direction that we ended up in Outram MRT Stn, haha... But I'm glad, we were just so okay with it, and I said, "It's okay, not a problem, treat it as a 'jalan2', and we can always take the MRT again." (And I shared with Hong that this is the 'slowing down' that I learned from post-BBW). We happily went down to the stn and took the MRT. Yayy... it's victory! :D

Best still, coz suddenly Hong thought of this City Square mall, so we decided to go there first. And it was my first time going there, and I like it so much... It was comfortable and not crowded, had a pleasant walk there.

Early dinner at Manhattan Fish Market, which we enjoyed sooo much... It was quiet (coz I think it wasn't lunch time nor dinner time, haha..), relaxed ambience and great food! And if my previous Monday off made me realize and understood the essence of what Peter Scazzero said in Daily Office, "We do not stop when we are finished. We do not stop when we complete our phone calls, ... etc. We stop because it is time to stop.", this time I tasted the "Delight". "We are to slow down and pay attention to our food, smelling and tasting its riches. ..." ~ EHS pg.169

And... here you go :)

-> Yup, it's Seafood Platter for Two ^^ Flaming Prawn is deliciousss...

And, we proceed to The Central, apparently so crowded there because of the Mid-Autumn Festival by the River (imagine if we didn't walk to the wrong direction and started the day at City Square Mall? hehe..), then Bugis Junction & Bugis Street. And decided to go home just when Hong said, "I think I begin to feel a little bit tired liao", although we haven't got all the things we wanted to get (this is another yayy...)

So yup, reached home with 'gang gang hao', just a little bit tired, but not so tired :)

Though I didn't get all in my checklist for today checked, but no 'frustration' feeling at all! Bought for myself 2 things that I'm soo happy of getting them, a jacket n a comfy sandal, a short chat with a shop assistant at Iluma (who's apparently from Sabah), who knows can befriend her n reach out to her :), did a bit of 'research' :p, and oh yeah... got my cup-cover that I've always forgotten to buy.

Circumstances and unsmoothness are most of the time very good in frustrating n upsetting us, but we can really choose not to be frustrated by them.

Again, it's about slowing down... release control a bit :)

Good day! Thank You, God!
I'm going to enjoy my nice sleep now n continue savoring my day tomorrow, in His grace.
I love You, Father...
