Ari was in almost a state of shock the days following Arthur's arrival and subsequent departure. Like she couldn't believe it had happened. But it had and from what she could tell he just walked out of her life and didn't look back. Five days after, when shed barely left the apartment, barely stopped crying over everything, she woke up and just decided she was done. To hell with him. She didn't imagine he was shut up in some hotel wallowing for her. That might involve having feelings.
No, that morning she promptly got in touch with a certain Forger who just happened to know of a job that needed an architect in Morocco. She was on a flight that night and almost tackled the Brit when he met her at the airport. Eames' careless demeanor and cheek were exactly what she needed right now.
It was a quick, easy job and she had impressed the team. She returned to Paris two weeks later with more contacts and a promise of many potential jobs in the future. She felt good. Or mostly good. Arthur had haunted her the whole time, no matter how hard she'd tried to push him aside. And returning to her apartment was like a kick in the stomach. Almost as soon as she got there she was looking for a way to leave again, and the best way was to take more jobs.
The other was to find a new apartment. Both of which she got started on right away.
