Update
My Friends,
I know that I have been conspicuous by my absence of late, and I apologize. I have missed LJ and my friends more than I can say, but life doesn't always go the way we want.
My father is in the hospital once again, and not doing well at all. He is bleeding internally, but he is in such a weakened state from lack of food and liquids that the doctors cannot perform any surgeries or invasive tests without risking his life. He is being given blood and antibiotics intravenously, but his blood pressure has been below normal for nearly three days now. He is also in a great deal of pain. We honestly don't expect him to be with us much longer unless a higher power intervenes, which is something that we believe can happen. There are many difficult decisions to make, and my mother's emotional health to care for, so there is quite a bit of stress as well as sadness.
I will be forever grateful for the sincere and caring words that you have sent. I am astounded at all the good and true friends I have made here, and I love each of you.
Please keep my family in your thoughts as our lives are being forever altered in ways that we have yet to comprehend.
I have no secrets, so if anyone that isn't on my F-list asks about me, feel free to let them know what is going on.
The MFU community is very important to me, and I promise that I will return.
