I'm Holding Out

I'm holding out
I'm waiting for it
That feeling
That something
There in my gut
There where it's true

The search is like a puzzle
The peices scattered far
You find one that looks right
You see that pretty picture
And yet it doesn't seem to fit
And so, let down, you throw it back

I'm holding out
I'm waiting for it
That feeling
That something
There in my gut
There where it's true

They say let go
They think it doesn't matter
Still it's so hard
Still memories run
Like a record on repeat
Like a gun with infinate clips

I'm holding out
I'm waiting for it
That feeling
That something
There in my gut
There where it's true

What good is wishing and wanting this
What has it done good for me
Why do I miss what never returns
Why care at all, all so much
Well I guess I can't give up
Well, not like I'd let myself

I'm holding out
I'm waiting for it
That feeling
That something
There in my gut
There where it's true

Still people ask me
Still I've no reply
What do I expect of this
What joy would I recieve
I don't think I'll ever know
I really don't think I'll care

I'm holding out
I'm waiting for him
His arms
His eyes
Then when I feel it in my gut
Then I know it's true
