Okay, who changed the background to the wl_fanfic community? Not that it doesn't look nice and all, but it was quite a shock when I signed on this morning and it was completely different....all gradient-strip like ( Read more... )

Um... being the only active mod and also being that I kind of despised the previous layout... I changed it. *sheepish smile* I was considering asking for peoples' opinions first, but then I... *shrugs* ...I didn't. I hope that's all right.

Don't take this the wrong way or anything, but...I hate it. Not that that counts toward anything, but I liked the house as it was, even if it was a little cheesy. At least you had the pics of the guys we were writing about. Now I feel like I'm in a prison and it really makes me shy away from reading anything in it. Or wanting to post. Ah well. Maybe that's a good thing!

Honestly, I don't care all that much. I just thought, as Claire said, that a different layout could be easier on the eyes, but it's not that big a deal.

I agree with Sue that it was better when there was actually some sort of tie-in to WL, but I agree with you that the regular layout was a bit hard on the eyes.

Oh, I was thinking of putting in a tie in to Whose Line, but being that I'm currently at work, I don't have access to my files. I was just playing, really. Seeing if there was another layout that I liked enough to replace the old one with.

I have other issues with the current layout concerning the information it provides (in that it's very little) when I'm looking for stories in adding them to the archive, but that's my problem, not the readers.

Clay, I didn't say change it back. I just said I hated what was there. The two aren't mutually exclusive. There are a billion and one other ways to go that would be different from what you originally had as a change. All I wanted was some color and maybe a pic or two of the people we were writing about. It didn't have to go back to the original you hated so much. Surely there's a compromise somewhere?
