went to see 'running with scissors' tonight......read the book a few months ago.....the book was very tragic but they are making the movie out to be this hilarious comedy, so i was very afraid that i'd be disappointed.......but no, actually the majority of america who thinks they are going to see a mindless comedy will be disappointed. the movie was actually sadder than the book. they played up some characters who were of lesser importance in the book (agnes) and they showed augusten's emotions really well......something he doesn't do himself in his memoir....he tends to be far more clinical in how he looks at it all. it amazes me that he lived to tell it all.........
