Reva's Dead??
you probably won't be interested in the stuff below the cut unless you happen to watch, or have ever watched, guiding light..........so be warned.
is it the end of an era, or just another soap opera ploy? today i watched reva shayne lewis die of breast cancer, surrounded by her husband, ex-husband, and sister.......so sad. i have watched guiding light off and on since i was about 5 years old. my mom and both of my grandmas watched it. soap operas are good like that.....you can skip a year and catch up in one or two episodes and a quick trip to the internet......i've been watching some during my off clinics time.......they can still be cheesy, but......reva???
the reva and josh story line is what i grew up on. they were the ultimate in star-crossed lovers. i can still remember watching one of their weddings, when they were on a row boat, soft light, a beautiful big white hat on her head. although they would break up from time to time, everyone always knew in their heart of hearts that they would wind up together in the end.
soap operas are an odd thing, you know. they are on every day, all year round, so that really, if you get into them, the characters CAN be like friends. you live their lives with them.
its stupid and silly, but i sit here with tears in my eyes nonetheless and hope, against hope, that it was all a soap opera ploy and that the flatline of the ecg will again be broken by nice sinus beats on monday.
